A warm welcome to Redleaves Veterinary Centre

At RedLeaves we are committed to a professional caring approach to both our patients and clients. Our professional and dedicated team aim to provide the best possible care and treatment for all of your pets, in as helpful and informative a way as possible.

We provide a range of high quality veterinary medicine, surgery and general health care. We are as concerned to prevent problems as we are to treat them when they arise.

Our veterinary practice was founded over 30 years ago by Colin P. Ellis. On his retirement in 2003, Barbara Taylor BVSc MRCVS GPCert(SAS), who had been working with Colin for 11 years, took over as Practice Principal and the practice was renamed RedLeaves Veterinary Centre

We are a dedicated companion animal practice and have a fully equipped air conditioned surgery with an experienced team of veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses, and veterinary receptionists.

All of our staff work together as one team doing our best to provide a professional and friendly service for you and your animals.

All our vets are required to regularly attend courses to keep themselves up to date with advances in veterinary medicine and surgery.

We are an RCVS Accredited Small Animal General Practice which means that we are regularly inspected by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons to ensure that we provide the highest standards of veterinary care.

Can we help?

We are here to help your pet to have a long, healthy and happy life with you. All of our staff are able to give general advice about the care of animals, so please feel free to raise any concerns regarding your pet.

If you are unsure whether to bring your pet to the surgery you can always telephone us first so that we can assess whether an appointment is necessary.

Facilities

We are fully equipped to provide the best medical and surgical veterinary care for your pet . A wide variety of diagnostic aids are at our disposal, such as an on-site laboratory, digital radiography (x-rays), dental radiography, ultrasound, ECG (electrocardiogram) and blood pressure monitoring.

These facilities allow us to quickly and effectively make a thorough assessment of any problem that may affect your pet. Our fully equipped operating theatre and dental facility, are supported by a safe, clean, and comfortable environment in which your pet can recover from surgery or illness.

Pet insurance

Pet Health Insurance is a good and effective way of covering the cost of treating your pet for an unexpected accident or illness.

It can help to take some of the worry away if your pet falls ill, and allows us to use the best treatment possible for your animal (for example the complex surgery and medical care that is often required following the swallowing of foreign materials by pets such as rubber balls, cotton or string etc. can cost over £1,500!).

We strongly recommend that you insure your pets with a lifetime protection policy. Details are available from the surgery.

Payment

To keep our costs and therefore prices as low as possible, we do ask for payment at the time of treatment. We accept most major credit and debit cards, and cash. Your vet will be pleased to give an estimate of the likely costs of any recommended treatment on request.

If your pet is insured, please note that we do require payment at the time of treatment in the normal way. We will of course be happy to fill in the relevant details on your insurance claim form before returning it to you for signature and forwarding to your insurance company.

If you have a query regarding your bill please speak to one of the receptionists in the first instance. If you have a query or are unsure about your pet’s treatment then please speak to the veterinary surgeon concerned.

We are committed to providing the best possible service and take any comment or complaint seriously.
